Frequently Asked Questions

For employers

  • To begin with, at WeAreMarsha, we do not believe in the idea of a “perfect candidate” or a “perfect match” because every candidate brings their unique mix of skills, work experiences, and perspectives.

Instead, we focus on finding the best possible talent by assessing them in relation to the role, team. A great match isn’t so much about perfection but about finding a talent who can truly contribute, grow, and thrive in the role hired for. In the end, it should be a win-win game.

  • We primarily, though not exclusively, work with historically marginalized talent. Ensuring that every talent we place feels seen, valued, and respected, is a top priority for us. We are deeply committed to fostering a sense of belonging in the workplace. To support this, we conduct a check-in assessment with your new hire within the first six months to help ensure their safety and well-being.

Our check-in assessment is conducted via the platform Yourequal, a community-led employer-rating platform for marginalized workers that doubles as a consulting practice for committed employers. Yourequal focuses on making lived marginalized experiences in the workplace visible and driving systemic changes through inclusive organizational policies and practices.

Through this collaboration, we also provide IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) consultation services should your company require additional support in creating a safer and supportive company culture.

  • Yes, we do! We collaborate with a trusted relocation partner that works closely with us and employers hiring internationally. If needed, we also support companies in relocating talent to Europe, including Germany.

Our relocation partner also has established entities in multiple countries, including Brazil, allowing for your new hire to work remotely if necessary and ensuring a seamless process with minimal effort on your end. This way, your company does not need to worry about the legal aspects of having an employee working remotely.

For talents

  • Berlin is a prominent tech hub where English is widely used in many professional settings. That said, the majority of positions require candidates to possess at least a B2/C1 level of English proficiency. While proficiency in German is not always a mandatory requirement for roles within the tech ecosystem, it is definitely considered a valuable asset.

Note: Language requirements may vary depending on the seniority of the role, particularly for entry-level positions such as internships or junior roles.

  • We take the security and privacy of our job seekers' data very seriously. We have implemented a comprehensive set of measures to protect this sensitive information from unauthorized access or breaches. Our business is fully compliant with data protection regulations (Art. 21 GDPR).

We adhere to these laws to ensure the privacy and security of your personal data, providing transparency and control to job seekers/candidates over their information. If you have given your consent to the processing of your data by WeAreMarsha, you can revoke it at any time by sending us an email to hello@marshaintech.com.

  • Yes, many fast-growing tech companies do sponsor visa, especially when hiring internationally. Please note that visa sponsorship may vary from company to company. Unfortunately, we have no influence on it. However, we always support our talents should they need a visa.
