Supporting fast-growing Tech Companies And empowering LGBTQIA+ BIPOC talent

WeAreMarsha is a talent sourcing service provider, strategically created to bridge the gap between fast-growing tech companies and LGBTQIA+ BIPOC talents.

Research has consistently demonstrated that marginalized communities, including but not limited to trans, queer, and gender non-conforming BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) talent, continue to face significant challenges in accessing employment, as well as career and educational opportunities in general. Despite corporate DEI initiatives, systemic barriers still prevail.

WeAreMarsha works to close the diversity gap in tech by dismantling these barriers for trans and queer BIPOC talent specifically, though not exclusively, by enabling access to employment, education, and career opportunities in the tech ecosystem.

our mission

our values

Intersectionality

Coined by the American scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw, intersectionality is a framework highlighting how different aspects of a person's identity (e.g., race, gender, social class, disability, and sexual orientation) when overlapping, create unique experiences of oppression and privilege.

At WeAreMarsha, we use intersectionality as a foundational tool in how we do recruitment. Through an intersectional lens, we ensure that equity and inclusion are embedded at every stage of the hiring process.

Collaboration

WeAreMarsha is a talent sourcing service provider, strategically created to bridge the gap between fast-growing tech companies and tech talents.

While our goals are ambitious we know we can't achieve them alone. That’s why we intentionally partner with a network of professionals, organisations, global changemakers and communities who share our commitment to equity and inclusion, ensuring that our impact is authentic and far-reaching.

Because real change is always built together.

Founder

Lucas Neto

Lucas Neto is a queer Brazilian professional, who has been based in Europe for 17 years.

Over the past seven years, Lucas has built a career in talent acquisition, contributing significantly to the growth of several fast-scaling tech companies in Berlin such as N26, Doodle, AVA&MAY, HomeToGo. Their work in talent acquisition has been marked by a strong commitment to equity and inclusion in the workplace, and a solid approach to recruitment through an intersectional lens. Still, something was missing…

Driven by a desire to create broader impact, Lucas made a bold yet challenging transition into social entrepreneurship and technology in 2023/24. Committed to closing the diversity gap in tech, Lucas learned programming, became a certified web developer, and launched Marsha in Tech, a small venture that has since evolved into WeAreMarsha.org
